Sanitary PVC Profiles

CoRound™ Sanitary PVC Profile System

The cove base that goes in with the panels. No sealant line required along the wall; pre-formed corners, no silicone-filled field cuts; no resin or cement to cure. CoRound is a system of sanitary PVC profiles that rounds off the corners of a room: where the wall meets the floor, where two walls meet, and where the wall meets the ceiling.

The rounded profile removes the square corner where dirt builds up, and the smooth, non-porous surface is easy to clean. Designed for walk-in coolers, food plants and commercial kitchens. Installs on insulated panels, FRP-covered walls, tile, masonry and drywall. Applications also include cleanrooms and pharmaceutical facilities.

At the floor, the CoR Skirt sanitary base: Flexible co-extruded lips press against the wall and the floor and follow small surface irregularities, closing the juncture. Between walls and at the ceiling, the CoR 4 cove base: Flexible co-extruded lips press against both walls, or the wall and the ceiling, and follow small surface irregularities, closing the junction.

The CoRound Lines

• CoRound Seal: sanitary cove base system, with the CoR 4 for walls and ceilings, the CoR Skirt S at the floor, and corner pieces and end caps with flexible lips.
• CoRound Basic: PVC cove base system for cost-sensitive projects, with pre-formed corners and end caps. Also in Stainless Steel Gray 9023.
• CoRound Channel: U-shaped PVC base track in five sizes, for insulated panels 2.4 to 4.7 in thick. The CoR Skirt snaps into it.
• CoRound Channel Eco: PVC C-channel, the economy version of the CoRound Channel, in four sizes for insulated panels 1.6 to 3.9 in thick.
• CoRound Corner Protector: PVC corner guards in two widths that snap onto a base screwed to the corner or column, with flexible end caps.

One system for the whole room: base track, sanitary base or heavy-duty curb, cove base for wall and ceiling junctions, pre-formed corners, end caps and corner guards, all made to fit together.

Why Choose CoRound Sanitary PVC Profiles?

• On standard cold storage panels with mesa or wide-rib profiles, the flexible lip follows the ribs.
• The curve comes from the factory, not from the installer’s hand: it is the same all the way around the room.
• The panel crew can install the profiles: no separate flooring or welding crew to schedule.
• A damaged length can be replaced on its own: the rest of the run stays in place.
• The color runs through the PVC: a hit or a scratch shows the same color, and there is no paint or coating to chip.
• PVC is a thermal-break material: it conducts far less heat than metal.
• Metal bases and channels can rust where water sits. PVC does not rust.

The first CoRound installations date back to 2010.

Material and Cleaning

CoRound sanitary PVC profiles are precision-extruded from rigid PVC, with flexible co-extruded lips on the cove base and the sanitary base. The PVC is lead-free; the rigid body is calcium-zinc stabilized. The raw materials do not contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, DEHP, BBP, DBP or DIBP. A written declaration on the material composition is available on request.

Resistant to common cleaning chemicals; can be washed with water up to +140 °F. Operating temperature: −4 °F to +140 °F. For colder applications, contact us.

Installing CoRound Sanitary PVC Profiles

The CoR 4 Base is a pre-drilled support profile for the CoR 4. It is screwed or riveted to the wall or ceiling, and the CoR 4 cove base snaps onto it.

The CoR Skirt snaps into the CoR Channel and is then fastened to the wall: base track and sanitary base are made to fit together. The CoR Skirt is screwed or riveted to the wall, or bonded with adhesive: installer’s choice. When the CoR Skirt is screwed or riveted, the fasteners sit behind a snap-on cover strip: no exposed screw heads to collect dirt.

Silicone is optional: not required for installation. In wet areas, installers can add a thin bead of neutral silicone to help keep water from getting behind the profile.
