Why Does a Sealant Line Matter Along a Stainless Steel Baseboard?
Exposed sealant can need cleaning and, over time, redoing: each time that means a service call, material and labor. With CoRound, no sealant line is required along the wall.
For example, on standard cold storage panels with mesa or wide-rib profiles, the flexible lip follows the ribs. As a result, the flexible lip minimizes gaps along the wall, with no sealant line required.
For the owner, that is one less cost that can recur, while the installer has one less step on site.
What Happens at Corners, Columns and Doors?
A stainless steel baseboard is a metal base, so the points below apply to it too. With a metal base, each corner, column and door opening can mean a miter cut on site and silicone to close it, and the result depends on the installer’s hand. CoRound has pre-formed pieces for them: joints, 90° inside and outside corners, and end caps.
Does PVC Rust Where Water Sits?
Metal bases and channels can rust where water sits. PVC does not rust. The same goes for the base track: the CoR Channel is PVC, too.
What Happens at the Door When Warm Air Comes In?
PVC conducts far less heat than metal. At doors, where warm air comes in, a metal cove base acts as a thermal bridge: it carries the cold right to the edge of the opening, where condensation and ice tend to form. A PVC cove base works as a thermal break: much less condensation and ice at the door.

Is There a Gray for Rooms With Stainless Steel?
The CoRound Basic line also comes in Stainless Steel Gray 9023, for rooms with stainless steel or Galvalume® walls and equipment. However, the gray is similar to stainless steel and Galvalume®, not an exact match: ask for a free sample to check it against your walls.
In this gray, the line has the CoR Skirt B at the floor and the CoR 4 on walls and ceiling. Both come with their corner pieces and end caps. The CoR Skirt S Joint also fits the CoR Skirt B; it comes in Pure White 9010 and Sand White 9002 only. See the CoRound Basic System.
How Does CoRound Go In Where a Stainless Steel Base Was?
Installing CoRound is one pass along the wall: fasten the profile and snap in the corners. Also, the panel crew can install the profiles: no separate flooring or welding crew to schedule.
Besides, in a room already in operation, CoRound can be installed on the finished floor: there is no floor to redo and nothing to cure.
How Do You Protect Wall Corners Next to the Base?
For outside corners, the CoR Protector is a corner guard that protects wall corners against everyday bumps from carts and mop buckets.
